At its commercial vehicle showcase held today at Hall 1, Bharat Mandapam, Tata Motors highlighted a set of new charging solutions aimed at strengthening the EV ecosystem for commercial mobility. The presentation featured EVERTA’s DC fast charging systems, alongside the scale and reach of Tata Power EZ Charge, India’s largest EV charging network.
The focus was on enabling faster charging, higher uptime and scalable infrastructure for electric commercial vehicles.
EVERTA showcased a range of DC fast chargers designed to support high-utilisation commercial EV operations. The chargers feature dual CCS2 connectors, allowing two vehicles to be charged simultaneously, and operate across a wide 150V–1000V DC range.
Efficiency levels reach up to 96.5% at full load, an important factor for fleet operators managing energy costs at scale. Power options range from 60 kW to 320 kW, making the system suitable for applications ranging from light commercial vehicles to electric trucks and buses.
The chargers are certified to IP55, ISO 15118, and OCPP 1.6J standards, enabling durability, vehicle-to-charger communication, and backend interoperability. Target users include fleet operators, logistics and warehouse parks, and truck and bus charge point operators.
Alongside EVERTA, Tata Power detailed the expansion of its EZ Charge infrastructure, positioning it as a backbone for commercial EV adoption. The network currently spans 630+ cities and towns and over 550 highways, offering coverage from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
With 5,500+ charging points catering to cars, buses, LCVs, and HCVs, Tata Power EZ Charge supports more than 4 lakh registered users. The ecosystem includes urban charging hubs, residential society installations, home chargers with over 1.7 lakh customers, and fast chargers along national highways.
All assets are monitored in real time through Tata Power’s network operating centre, enabling reliability and uptime across the charging network.
By showcasing both EVERTA’s hardware solutions and Tata Power’s nationwide charging network at Bharat Mandapam, Tata Motors underlined the importance of parallel development of vehicles and infrastructure. The approach reflects a push toward making electric commercial mobility viable not just at the vehicle level, but across daily operations.
