Tata Power Moves Fast in Electric Mobility 

Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited, a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited is working with VE Commercial Vehicles to help accelerate electric commercial vehicles adoption in India. The partnership will focus on the Eicher Pro X range of small commercial vehicles.

Collaboration Supports Truck and Bus Operators

Under the agreement, Tata Power will provide its EV charging infrastructure and customized charging solutions. VE Commercial Vehicles will optimize energy usage in electric trucks with its energy efficiency expertise. Together, they will guide Eicher Trucks and Buses customers in adopting electric mobility, addressing operational needs and vehicle applications.

Tackling Major Barriers

The collaboration addresses important barriers to adoption such as range anxiety, availability of charging and expenses. It will also help pave the way for a range of other vehicles in Eicher's electric portfolio, ensuring solutions are a fit for actual commercial activity.

Tata Power Expands Charging Infrastructure

Tata Power has deployed more than 1.5 lakh home chargers, 5500 public, semi-public, and fleet charging points, and 1200 E-bus charging stations across 630 cities and towns under its EZ Charge brand. These chargers operate at highways, malls, hotels, hospitals, offices, depots, and residential complexes. More than 4 lakh customers have registered with EZ Charge, supporting the growth of electric mobility in India.

VE Commercial Vehicles Leads in Modern Commercial Transport

VE Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, produces trucks and buses in 40 countries. It manages Volvo Buses India, distributes Volvo Trucks in India, and manufactures engines for the Volvo Group. Its innovative products and services modernize commercial transportation and advance sustainable mobility.
