Tata Motors to Pass Full GST Reduction Benefit on Commercial Vehicles

Full GST Benefit to Customers from September 22

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, will pass on the full benefit of the recent reduction in commercial vehicle GST rates to its buyers. The revised prices come into effect from 22nd September 2025, the official GST reduction date announced by the GST Council.

The move translates into significant price cuts across the company’s portfolio. Customers will see savings between Rs 30,000 and Rs 4.65 lakh depending on the model. The decision strengthens Tata Motors’ position as a leader in the commercial vehicle market and adds momentum to India’s evolving transport sector.

Price Cuts Across All Segments

The reduction in commercial vehicle tax will ease ownership costs for transporters, fleet operators and small businesses. Below are the indicative benefits under Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles:

• Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV): Rs 2,80,000 to Rs 4,65,000
  
• Intermediate, Light & Medium Commercial Vehicles (ILMCV): Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 3,00,000
  
• Buses & Vans: Rs 1,20,000 to Rs 4,35,000
  
• SCV Passenger: Rs 52,000 to Rs 66,000
  
• SCV & Pickups: Rs 30,000 to Rs 1,10,000
  

Customers have been advised to confirm exact prices with authorised dealerships. Tata Motors has also encouraged early bookings, especially ahead of the festive period when demand is expected to rise.
