New Delhi, India – February 13, 2025 – Tata.ev, the leader in India's electric vehicle (EV) revolution, has announced a bold initiative to double the country’s available charging points to 400,000 by 2027 under its Open Collaboration 2.0 framework. By collaboration with key Charging Point Operators (CPOs), Tata.ev will roll out the Tata.ev Mega Charger network, offering superfast charging and unparalleled reliability, alongside the installation of 30,000 new public charging points.

Expanding India’s EV Charging Ecosystem

Since 2019, Tata.ev has been at the forefront of advancing India’s EV infrastructure, introducing seamless home charging solutions and kickstarting public charging networks in high-EV adoption areas. In 2023, Tata.ev launched its Open Collaboration framework, forging strategic partnerships with Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to expand the charging network along highways and urban centers. As a result, public charging points more than doubled in just 15 months, surpassing 18,000 chargers.
