Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd. (MLMML) has crossed the milestone of selling over 3 lakh electric vehicles, thus firmly establishing its place among India's biggest manufacturers of electric small commercial vehicles. It achieves the distinction of being the first OEM in India to achieve this scale of electric mobility adoption.
According to the company, the last one lakh EVs were sold within just 12 months, reflecting growing market acceptance for Mahindra’s electric three and four-wheelers. The vehicles have collectively covered over 5 billion kilometres, resulting in an estimated carbon dioxide offset exceeding 185 kilometric tonnes — equivalent to the environmental impact of planting more than 4.3 million trees.
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility currently offers one of the largest electric commercial vehicle portfolios in the country, comprising the Treo range, Zor Grand, e-Alfa three-wheelers and the recently launched Mahindra ZEO four-wheeler. The company continues to collaborate with multiple ecosystem partners to increase electric vehicle adoption across the last-mile mobility sector.
Commenting on the milestone, Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, said: “Achieving the 3 lakh EV milestone is a proud moment in our journey towards sustainable mobility. It demonstrates the trust that customers have placed in our products. Our focus remains on innovation and inclusive mobility that supports livelihoods while contributing to a cleaner future.”
MLMML launched the UDAY NXT program last year at the 2 Lakh EV milestone in order to focus on the customer and to further illustrate its commitment to driver empowerment with various features like ₹20 Lakh driver accidental insurance cover and financial counselling. For the 3 Lakh EV milestone, MLMML has launched a newly updated NEMO platform on iOS, Android and the web. The NEMO platform allows both a driver and fleet manager the ability to remotely manage and monitor vehicles. Some new features include multi-vehicle management, geo-tracking, service booking, roadside assistance (RSA), an extensive list of locations to charge the EV and so much more. These efforts reinforce Mahindra's commitment to enabling inclusive mobility and delivering the highest level of value, beyond the vehicle.
