The Tata 710 LPT comes equipped with a powerful 4SPCR BS6 diesel engine which has the capacity to churn out 100 kW of maximum power at 2800 rpm and 300 Nm of peak torque at around 1200 - 2200 rpm. This engine is mated to a slick G400, 5-Speed Manual Synchromesh Gearbox.

This engine is mated to an efficient ET 30S5 5-Speed gearbox with a hybrid gear shift lever for better performance delivery.

2. Brakes and Suspension: 

The 710 LPT comes fitted with a Full Air S" Cam Braking System for maximum braking performance and stopping power in the event of an emergency. In terms of suspension, the truck comes fitted with Semi-Elliptical Leaf Spring with 2 Hydraulic Double acting Shock Absorbers in the front while the rear houses Semi Elliptical Multi-Leaf spring, 2 no Hydraulic Double Acting Shock Absorbers and integrated Auxiliary Springs.
