Jio-bp Introduces International Fuel for India Campaign to Bring High-Performance Fuels to Every Indian at No Extra Cost

Jio-bp has introduced its new International Fuel for India (IFFI) campaign, reiterating its pledge to make available to Indian consumers the most advanced, high-performance fuels at no extra cost. The campaign was formally launched at India Energy Week 2025 in New Delhi by the Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri.

The IFFI campaign brings forth how Jio-bp is bringing globally benchmarked fuel technology on Indian roads, namely fuels that are engineered for Indian engines and Indian driving conditions. Popular actor Pankaj Tripathi features in the campaign as brand ambassador, helping communicate the message of high-quality fuels that are being made available to all rather than positioning them as premium add-ons.

Global Fuel Science, Engineered for India

Jio-bp high-performance petrol and diesel are powered by ACTIVE Technology, developed using bp’s global fuel research expertise spanning over a century. These fuels have been extensively tested on Indian OEM engines with Indian fuel on thousands of kilometers at leading research & development centers in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Diesel from Jio-bp with ACTIVE Technology gives an additional mileage of up to 4.3%, whereas petrol from Jio-bp with ACTIVE Technology maintains critical engine components up to 10 times cleaner. These fuels prevent the accumulation of harmful dirt in engines so that fuel efficiency can be improved and overall engine life can be prolonged.

Benefits Across Vehicle Categories

Designed to work seamlessly across private vehicles, commercial fleets and even the non-transport segment, Jio-bp high-performance fuels help address one of the most common causes of efficiency loss, which is dirt congestion in engine components. ACTIVE Technology forms a protective layer on metal surfaces while removing existing deposits, helping engines operate closer to their original design performance and lowering servicing requirements over time.

ACTIVE Technology on Display: The Split Fuel Car

To visually demonstrate the impact of ACTIVE Technology, Jio-bp showcased an innovative Split Fuel Car at India Energy Week 2025. In this exhibit, a single six-cylinder engine was run with Jio-bp ACTIVE Technology petrol in one half and ordinary petrol in the other, under identical driving conditions.

Using advanced borescope imaging technology commonly used in medical diagnostics, the demonstration revealed significantly higher deposits on engine components running on ordinary petrol. The comparison, conducted within the same engine, offered clear, real-world proof of how ACTIVE Technology helps maintain cleaner engines and better fuel efficiency.

Making High-Performance Fuels the New Standard

True to its philosophy of delivering “More” for India, Jio-bp is leveraging Reliance Industries nationwide fuel supply chain to democratize access to bespoke, high-performance fuels. These fuels are now offered as the basic package in over 1,875 Jio-bp mobility locations, thereby ensuring people access the latest energy technology at an unaltered price point.
