Engine and Performance

Powering the Tata Yodha is a capable 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which has remained a mainstay in Tata Motors’ lineup for a long time in its commercial vehicle lineup. This engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox and produces a maximum power output of 100 PS, while its peak torque output is rated at 250 Nm.

Exterior

The trapezoidal headlamps somehow look familiar and get clear-lens treatment for the turn indicators present within them. The front bumper looks rugged and gets blacked-out housings for the fog lamps.

Summary

The overall design of the Tata Yodha looks very much similar to the Tata 207 and Xenon from the past, but it gets its own set of visual tweaks, which are very minor in appearance.

Interior

Like the exterior, the interior of the Tata Yodha also looks very familiar, as it is heavily borrowed from its recent predecessor, the Tata Xenon. The cabin has an all-grey appeal, and has a very basic layout for the dashboard, with the centre console housing the AC vents at the top and a 1-DIN audio system below it. The four-spoke steering wheel is tilt-adjustable and gets a twin-pod instrument console.

The cabin of the Tata Yodha looks heavily inspired by the Tata Xenon, and gets a basic-looking all-grey theme for it.

Features

For its price, the Tata Yodha is decently equipped with bare essentials like manual air conditioning, a 1-DIN audio system and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel. It also feels practical with a closed glovebox on the co-passenger side, open cubbyholes in the centre console and flat laydown adjustable seat.

Summary

The flat laydown adjustable seats and closed glovebox on the co-passenger side of the dashboard make the Tata Yodha very practical on the inside.
