  In the Tata 407G SFC, a new 3.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine has replaced the tried-and-tested 3.0-litre diesel engine, which has served the 407 range for a long time. Paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this 3.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine of the Tata 407G SFC produces 84.2 PS of maximum power and 285 Nm of maximum torque output. The powertrain of the Tata 407G SFC also consists of a 280mm diameter single plate dry friction type clutch.
