Montra Electric Trucks

Montra Electric has entered the commercial EV market with light-duty level and in the heavy-haul segment. Their trucks carry a mix of strong electric performance and practical engineering, something Indian fleet operators immediately pay attention to.

The range includes the Rhino 5538 EV, which currently stands as one of the most powerful electric trucks operating on Indian roads and the Eviator, a compact SCV created for businesses that shuttle goods across cities all day long.

What sets Montra Electric apart is the combination of PMSM motors, LFP battery packs and a focus on durability rather than just futuristic appeal. These elements give the trucks high torque output and predictable running costs, making the shift to electric mobility slightly easier for operators who are used to diesel vehicles.

    About Montra Electric Trucks

Montra Electric trucks are powerful and sustainability oriented as its core principles. The Rhino 5538 EV and the Eviator share the same philosophy: strong drivetrains, regenerative braking systems and battery management setups built to withstand heavy-duty operating cycles. Both trucks come with features that drivers usually expect only in diesel M&HCVs like air brakes, parabolic suspension, power steering and cabins designed with comfort in mind.

Montra Electric Truck Price in India 2025

    1) Montra Electric Rhino 5538 EV — ₹1.15 Cr (Fixed) | ₹1.18 Cr (Swappable)*

The Rhino 5538 EV is aimed squarely at long-haul transport operations that would typically run a diesel 4x2 or 6x4 tractor. It delivers a surprising amount of pulling power for an EV of its size. The PMSM motor produces around 280 kW of power, about 380 horsepower and a massive 2000 Nm of torque. This torque availability makes the Rhino feel strong even when the trailer is fully loaded. The battery pack, a 282 kWh LFP system, gives a rated range of roughly 198 km under standard conditions. A dual CCS2 fast-charging setup can take the battery from 20% to full charge in about an hour, which is useful for fleets relying on quick turnarounds.

    2) Montra Electric Eviator — ₹16.11–₹16.39 Lakh*

Built primarily for last-mile and short-to-medium city runs, the Eviator takes a more compact approach while still offering strong performance for an SCV. It is available in two variants, the E-350L and E-350X, and uses a PMSM motor that delivers between 40 and 80 kW of power and up to 300 Nm of torque. With a GVW of 3490 kg and a payload capacity of about 1707 kg, the truck handles dense urban routes without feeling underpowered. It reaches up to 80 km/h and has a gradeability of around 35%, which helps on steep urban ramps or flyovers.

Why Fleet Operators Prefer Montra Electric Trucks

Montra Electric EV lineup delivers the kind of torque, range and durability that commercial transport needs, but without the running costs associated with diesel trucks. The company’s Premium AMC, which covers 10 years or 9 lakh km further reduces uncertainty for operators moving to electric mobility. For long-haul freight, the Rhino 5538 EV stands out as a powerful, future-ready tractor, while the Eviator fits perfectly into city cargo runs.
