The used truck market has seen a price rise in the past year, especially in the light commercial vehicle segment. According to the latest report by Shriram Mobility, there is a 38% rise in the 1.5 to 2 tonne segment. The 2 to 3.5-tonne trucks show a rise of 22% with the 3.5 to 7.5-tonne trucks segment witnessing a rise of 21%. The price rise has been attributed to the rising price of new vehicles and logistics stress as the main reason behind the price rise.
The used trucks market has been gaining momentum over the last two years as prices of all used commercial vehicles be it BSIV or BSVI have increased by 25-30%. There is a shortage of supply in the used truck market and the demand is increasing daily.
