Tata Motors all set to unveil Next‑Gen Truck in New Delhi- What Could it be?

A truck launch by Tata Motors in New Delhi tomorrow has created waves of enthusiasm in the commercial vehicles sector in India. The details of the forthcoming offering have been diligently hidden away by the manufacturer, but given the sequence of the last few launches as well as the current portfolio of the company, there's a lot to create informed guesswork around the offering.

The recent steps of Tata in CNG heavy-duty trucks and advanced driver assistance systems suggest that Tata is moving ahead aggressively in terms of preparing itself in order to meet new norms in truck safety and emissions regulations. A clean fuel version of Signa or Prima range with next-generation engine choices- perhaps LNG, CNG, or hydrogen fuel trails- would fit in with Tata's sustainability story.

Strategically, Tata is set to launch something that would entice the conventional diesel audience as well as the visionaries in the new-user segment.
