Montra Electric Rhino 5538EV Crosses 1.2 Crore km in 2 Years

Montra Electric has achieved a big milestone: its heavy-duty electric truck, Rhino 5538EV, has covered 1.2 crore kilometres across India in just two years. This shows that electric trucks are not the future—they are already running on Indian roads.

Helping the Environment

The fleet of 350 Rhino 5538EV trucks is reducing pollution while doing its job. These trucks have cut 3.79 million tons of CO₂ emissions, which is like planting 181 million trees. They are used in steel, cement, and port logistics, helping companies save money on fuel and maintenance and meet their environment goals.

Strong and Reliable Performance

The Rhino 5538EV is India’s first 55-ton GCW electric truck. It works reliably with more than 98% uptime, even in heavy industries. Many cement and steel companies trust these trucks so much that they have bought them again.

The truck has a 282 kWh battery and a PMSM motor that gives 280 kW (380 hp) and 2000 Nm of torque. It can charge fast up to 240 kW, going from 20% to 100% in 60 minutes, and can run 169 km on a single charge under normal conditions.

Driver Comfort and Safety

The Rhino 5538EV is also user friendly for drivers. Thanks to its Automated Manual Transmission, there are no clutches, and it is designed with low noise and vibrations in consideration. It also has strong, safe and durable parts including Meritor axles and Wabco air brakes. With 24×7 on-site service, the trucks will be kept running smoothly.

Looking Ahead

Montra Electric is adding more options to its lineup. They already have 6×4 tractor trailers and will launch 4×2 tractor trailers and 6×4 tippers soon. The company makes heavy, medium, and small commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, and electric tractors, serving many types of businesses in India.
