Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has launched Swayamgati Cargo, an autonomous electric cargo three-wheeler priced at ₹4.15 lakh. The model extends OSM’s autonomy platform into industrial logistics, following an earlier passenger-focused variant. Bookings have started and deliveries are expected within this quarter.

Swayamgati Cargo operates inside controlled zones. The vehicle moves on mapped routes and it navigates with Lidar, GPS and multi-sensor fusion. The autonomy stack detects obstacles within 6 metres and responds through a closed-loop system that manages speed, direction and braking. The electric drivetrain supports a 120-km range, which enables repeated short-cycle movement inside campuses.

OSM has positioned the vehicle for sites where movement stays predictable. The list includes industrial parks, large factories, airports, SEZs, warehouses and e-commerce fulfillment centres. Such locations rely on repetitive shuttling and the company expects automation to reduce delays caused by human-driven inconsistencies.

The system depends on geofenced routes. Engineers map each corridor before deployment. Fleet operators supervise the vehicle through a remote interface, which tracks location, condition and task status in real time. OSM aims to deploy 1,500 autonomous units, both cargo and passenger, over the next 24 months.

Low-speed autonomous mobility is expanding quickly. Global studies put the autonomous vehicle market near USD 620 billion by 2030. Most early adoption appears in logistics, especially where routes remain fixed and risk stays manageable. In India, large industrial clusters now favour systems that limit manual involvement and improve route discipline.

Swayamgati Cargo enters this space as a production-ready option. The vehicle targets repeat journeys, structured movement and enclosed roads. It does not operate on public roads and the company highlights its role as a closed-loop transport asset rather than a general-purpose EV.

Dr. Uday Narang, Founder & Chairman of OSM, said “After the successful launch of Swayamgati for passenger applications, Swayamgati Cargo is our next major step toward building India’s autonomous mobility ecosystem. Industrial parks, manufacturing hubs, and logistics facilities today demand precision, efficiency, and 24/7 reliability. Autonomous cargo EVs are the future of structured logistics. With this launch, we are proving once again that advanced autonomy can be designed, engineered, and produced in India—at a cost that makes sense for businesses across the country.”

Mr. Vivek Dhawan, Chief Strategy Officer at OSM, added that “Swayamgati Cargo brings intelligent logistics to the ground level. From material handling to last-mile campus transport, this vehicle eliminates human error, cuts operating costs, and ensures predictable movement. Our vision is clear: to democratize autonomy for India’s industries. With strong demand coming from airports, factories, and tech campuses, we see Swayamgati Cargo becoming a critical part of India’s smart logistics infrastructure.”

Both leaders stressed that the vehicle supports structured environments where safety controls, mapped segments and restricted access allow autonomy to function without external disruption.

The cargo variant builds on a pilot completed on a 3-km marked route. The trial included programmed stops and dynamic obstacles. The vehicle navigated the entire loop without manual override. The company will now begin Phase-2 deployment inside industrial campuses and large operational sites.

Swayamgati Cargo is produced in OSM’s facilities at Faridabad and Chakan (Pune). An assembly unit in Dubai (Jafza) serves export markets in Asia and Africa. The company operates 200+ service and dealership points, which provide maintenance, diagnostics and spares support to industrial users.
