January 19, 2025, New Delhi – Olectra Greentech Limited showcased groundbreaking innovations at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Known for their pioneering work in electric mobility, Olectra's new iX e-Bus promises to change the landscape of eco-friendly public transport in India.
Olectra displayed their latest products, including the innovative Blade Battery Chassis, a reimagined 12-meter Blade Battery Platform, and their newly styled 9-meter City and 12-meter Coach buses. These models reflect Olectra's dedication to providing efficient and eco-friendly public transport.
The Blade Battery Technology, developed by BYD, is a standout feature. This battery has passed rigorous tests, including nail penetration and furnace trials, without any fire or explosion incidents. The battery's compact and lightweight design boosts space efficiency and vehicle stability while providing 30% more energy storage. The Blade Battery enables the buses to travel up to 500 kilometers on a single charge.
Passenger comfort and safety are paramount to Olectra's design philosophy. The iX e-Bus is equipped with features such as fully digital instrument panels, Electronic Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS), real-time Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS), Reverse Park Assist Systems (RPAS), and in-wheel motors for a smooth ride. For passengers, amenities like USB charging ports, roof-mounted air conditioning, and cantilever seats ensure a comfortable journey.
Safety features include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), GPS tracking, CCTV cameras, air suspension, and kneeling mechanisms, along with wheelchair ramps and inclusive designs, making these buses accessible to all.
