Netradyne has launched the “Driver i D-450” video safety platform and its DMS Sensor in India. The company wants to improve commercial vehicle safety and help operators prepare for upcoming commercial vehicle safety regulations.

The D-450 platform uses four AI cameras. These cameras watch drivers and analyze every trip. The DMS Sensor tracks the driver’s eyes. It detects drowsiness and fatigue early. The system uses Percentage of Eyelid Closure over the Pupil over Time (PERCLOS). It works even in low light or when drivers wear sunglasses.

The launch comes before new rules from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). From 2026, commercial vehicles that carry eight or more passengers must have lane departure warning systems and driver drowsiness and attention warning systems.

"Our industry-proven D-450 video safety platform has set a new standard for AI-powered fleet monitoring, and the DMS Sensor add-on brings unprecedented accuracy to driver alertness detection," said Teja Gudena, Executive Vice President-Technology at Netradyne.

The platform gives real-time alerts for risky driving. It includes Netradyne’s GreenZone driver scoring system. Fleet managers can measure performance. They can design training programs and reward safe driving.

Netradyne’s technology runs on edge computing and deep learning. It processes data locally. It does not depend on constant connectivity. Thousands of fleets already use the “Driver i” platform worldwide, including fleets with commercial vehicles in India.

The company notes that drowsiness is a leading cause of accidents. It affects passenger transport, employee shuttles, hazardous goods, oil and gas fleets, and long highway routes. With the new system, Netradyne wants to cut these risks and support compliance with commercial vehicle safety regulations.

Netradyne was founded by Avneesh Agarwal and David Julian, both Stanford graduates. The company operates in India, the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Investors include SoftBank, Reliance, M12, and Point72 Ventures.

The D-450 platform records all driving time. It offers fleet operators clear data to improve performance and ensure compliance. As India raises commercial vehicle safety standards, Netradyne’s system may play a central role in safer roads.
