Montra Electric, Green Drive to Deploy 50 Electric Commercial Vehicles

Montra Electric, part of the Murugappa Group’s TI Clean Mobility, has entered a strategic partnership with Green Drive Mobility to deploy 50 electric commercial vehicles. This move supports India’s shift towards clean transport and reflects a strong industry push for sustainable logistics.

At the core of this collaboration is the Montra Eviator, a modern electric small commercial vehicle built for high performance and efficiency. With a certified range of 245 km and a practical range of around 170 km, the vehicle suits daily operations across city limits. It supports fast DC charging from 20% to 100% in just 77 minutes, and AC charging from 0% to 80% in about 6 hours, minimizing downtime and maximizing usage.

The Eviator offers a payload of 1,707 kg, peak power of 80 kW, and 300 Nm torque. These specs make it ideal for first-, mid-, and last-mile delivery needs. The vehicle also comes with smart telematics, enabling real-time tracking, route optimization, and predictive maintenance—all key for modern fleet management.

The agreement was signed by Saju Nair, CEO of Tivolt Electric (Montra’s SCV division), and Hari Krishna, Founder and CEO of Green Drive Mobility. Both leaders called this a critical step toward building cleaner, smarter logistics.

For Montra Electric, it showcases their growing role in the electric commercial vehicle market and reflects the company’s long-term vision of transforming how goods move across Indian cities.
