Mahindra Group on Thursday presented a strategic roadmap for its Last Mile Mobility division that includes increasing revenue sixfold by 2030, electrifying half its vehicle portfolio, and expanding exports to over 10 international markets.
Mahindra, at its Investor Day, termed last-mile mobility as one of the focus areas of its long-term mobility strategy. The growth strategy of the division rests on three key pillars: electrification, expansion in product categories, and scaling exports.
The company targets 50% electrification of its last-mile portfolio by FY2030, with adoption expected across e-commerce delivery, urban transportation, and small-business logistics. Electric three-wheelers and four-wheelers are expected to grow at twice the industry rate between FY23 and FY30.
In international markets, Mahindra plans to enter 10 or more countries, targeting regions where electric last-mile solutions are seeing increased deployment. Current models include Treo Plus, Zor Grand Range+, and ZEO, with a goal to place one million electric cargo and passenger vehicles on Indian roads by 2031. Current sales stand near 300,000 units.
The volumes of the company's electric commercial vehicles have grown fivefold between FY22 and FY25. Correspondingly, revenue stands at ₹3,783 crore and profit after tax at ₹247 crore for FY25. According to analysts, this reflects a move from early-stage EV operations toward higher-volume operations within Mahindra Group. This would basically outline the focus of Mahindra on electric mobility, logistics, and global market expansion, and perhaps something big for India's evolving EV sector.
