Euler Turbo EV 1000 Launched, Promises Better Performance at ICE Price

Euler Motors on Monday officially launched its third product in the Indian market. And the Euler Turbo EV 1000 could potentially be the homegrown brand’s biggest bet yet. Touted as the world’s first one-tonne mini truck powered entirely by battery, the Euler Turbo EV 1000 is promising superior performance but at acquisition prices similar to that of diesel or petrol/CNG-powered counterparts.

Euler Turbo EV 1000 Prices

Euler Turbo EV 1000 has been launched in three variants with the base variant – City - at Rs 5.99 lakh. The mid variant, called Fast Charge, is priced at Rs 7.20 lakh and the top variant, called Maxx is at Rs 8.19 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom and company officials underline that these are not introductory and not for a limited time period. Company officials are also claiming that due to these prices, and the promised running and maintenance costs, owners can look at savings of at least Rs 1 lakh per year from each of these models when compared to a similarly priced ICE (internal combustion engine) alternative.

Euler Turbo EV 1000 Range and Performance

The Euler Turbo EV 1000 is promising a real-world range of anywhere between 140 kms to 170 kms although the ARAI-certified range is between 197 kms and 267 kms. The certified payload of all variants is at 1,000 kilos (one tonne) while max speed is at 65 kmph for the base variant and 70 kmph for the top two variants. Additionally, charging time varies from four hours to six hours while CCS2 support is available for the Fast Charge variant, allowing an added range of 50 kms in 15 minutes.

At the very core of the model is a Lithium-ion battery pack with the company offering five year or 1.50 lakh kms warranty on it. Standing on 12 or 13-inch wheels, the mini EV truck offers 140 Nm of torque and up to 40 bhp.

Euler Turbo EV 1000 Dimensions

The Euler Turbo EV 1000 measures up to 4,100 mm in length, has a track width of up to 1,310 mm, stands up to 2,550 mm tall and a ground clearance of up to 145 mm. The turning radius ranges from 4.4 meters to 4.6 meters, again depending on the variant.

Euler Turbo EV 1000 Features

Inspired by the Indian Bull, the Euler Turbo EV 1000 gets a strong fascia with integrated projector headlamps as standard. There are multiple drive modes on offer while regen braking, Hill-Hold Assist, Vehicle Tracking System and water-wading height of one foot promise to ease the driving as well as ownership experience. Suspension duties are tasked to hydraulic shock absorber with semi-elliptical leafspring units at the rear and with parabolic leafspring at the front. Similarly, the EV gets drum brakes at the rear and disc brakes at the rear.

Conclusion

With its roots established in 2018, Euler Motors says it is quickening India’s EV movement in the commercial vehicle space and that it has managed to open 80 stores in 60 cities in the country. The company further claims that its first two offerings – HiLoad three-wheeled cargo vehicle and Storm four-wheeled cargo vehicle, have been well received with many returning customers. As such, expectations from Euler Turbo EV 1000 are huge. The company is promising deliveries as early as in the next few weeks and is underlining its warranty and Annual Maintenance service to further connect with potential customers.
