Eicher Pro X Diesel Range Debuts: Designed for India’s Next-Gen Logistics

Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., has introduced the Eicher Pro X Diesel range to mark an expansion of its next-generation portfolio in the 2–3.5-ton small commercial vehicle segment in India.

This launch comes after the introduction of the Eicher Pro X EV earlier this year and marks the company's effort to provide both electric and diesel options for last-mile logistics operators.

Designed for changing logistics

The Pro X Diesel range is created in consultation with key customers, addressing the requirements in such sectors as e-commerce, FMCG, cold chain, fruits and vegetables, and parcel & courier delivery. According to Eicher, this new range has combined fuel efficiency, reliability, and ease of ownership to serve small businesses, fleet operators, and first-time buyers in the rapidly changing SCV market.

At the heart of the vehicle is the newly developed E449 diesel engine, which the company claims is the “X-Factor” for this category. The engine is said to provide best-in-class fuel efficiency, enhanced drivability, and high uptime for demanding city and near-city operations.

Built for performance and comfort

The new range offers the segment's largest cargo deck at 10 feet 8 inches, allowing higher load capacity per trip. A 30,000-kilometre service interval reduces maintenance downtime and operating cost.

Inside, the cabin is re-engineered for comfort and safety. The truck comes with a crash-tested metallic cabin, ergonomic D+2 seating, DSMS, and DRL. As for connectivity, the truck gets predictive diagnostics, remote immobiliser, and real-time vehicle monitoring through the My Eicher App and 24×7 Uptime Centre.

Manufactured for "Make in India"

The Eicher Pro X Diesel is produced at Eicher's Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal plant, assembled on an all-woman production line, reflecting the company's commitment toward inclusive manufacturing and the Make in India initiative.

This launch consolidates Eicher's portfolio in the small commercial vehicle segment, as the segment sees increasing demand for both diesel powertrains and electrified options with the modernization of India's logistics infrastructure.
