India’s premier Commercial Vehicle Forum (CVF) 2025 wrapped up in Pune, spotlighting cleaner mobility and industry innovation. The event brought manufacturers, suppliers, fleet operators, and experts together under one roof to discuss road transport’s future.

Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik, attending as chief guest, praised such forums for connecting key players. He said these platforms help align the industry’s vision, and stressed the importance of working together.
"We must act collectively," Sarnaik said, "to build a more efficient and sustainable transport system."

He highlighted Maharashtra’s new E-Vehicle Policy, which he said would support both manufacturing and adoption of electric vehicles. “Maharashtra continues to lead in automobile manufacturing,” Sarnaik added. “This policy aims to solidify our position by creating a robust ecosystem for electric mobility.”

Sessions at the forum covered off-highway vehicles, sustainable logistics, and emerging EV tech. Experts addressed cost challenges, infrastructure gaps, and next-gen solutions for India’s growing freight needs.

The event also hosted the Commercial Vehicle and Fleet Awards, which honoured top-performing companies and innovators—those improving efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the sector.

Speakers called attention to how fast technologies are evolving. Battery tech, telematics, and fleet digitization were discussed in detail. Manufacturers shared updates on EV rollouts, while logistics leaders talked about operational changes needed to go electric.

By enabling real dialogue between industry and policy, the forum became a hub of insight and action. Startups, legacy brands, and decision-makers all contributed.

Conclusion

At CVF 2025, ideas converged and plans took shape. With Minister Sarnaik’s push for cleaner transport and Maharashtra’s EV policy creating a solid base, India’s road transport sector is gearing up for a smarter, greener future.
