BharatBenz, under Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), has launched the HX and TorqShift truck series. These launches target India's expanding construction and mining sectors. The company aims to offer high-performance, durable solutions for challenging terrain and heavy-duty tasks.

India’s Infrastructure Needs New Trucks

India is building fast. Roads, cities, and industrial zones are expanding. By 2030, the construction equipment market may grow to $45 billion, up from $16 billion today. The government plans to build over 200,000 km of highways. That demand needs strong, efficient, and reliable commercial vehicles. BharatBenz now steps in with products that match these needs.

HX Series: Tough Builds for Rough Jobs

The HX truck range handles extreme sites—quarries, mines, and rugged construction areas. The 2828C HX runs on a 280 hp engine with 1100 Nm torque. The 3532C HX uses a 320 hp engine and delivers 1250 Nm torque. Both trucks perform well on steep grades. The 2828C climbs up to 60% inclines, and the 3532C manages 54% under full load.

These trucks focus on uptime and safety. Features include Hill Hold Assist, unitized axle bearings, and driver monitoring systems. The cabins follow ECE R29-03 crash standards, offering added protection.

TorqShift Series: Smarter, Smoother Transport

The TorqShift trucks, including the 2832CM and 3532CM, serve mining and bulk cargo transport. These trucks feature Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). AMT improves fuel economy, reduces driver fatigue, and cuts operation time.

The HX-RMC variant helps the construction sector specifically. It carries 9 cubic meters of concrete and runs on a 280 hp BS6 engine with 1100 Nm torque. It’s ready for urban and rural infrastructure work.

Tried, Tested, and Trusted

Before launch, BharatBenz tested these trucks in real-world conditions. The company deployed 150–200 test units in rough sites across India. These trials confirmed that the trucks deliver in uptime, efficiency, and durability.

Strong Support, Nationwide

BharatBenz backs its products with a network of 385 touchpoints across India. The service support includes annual maintenance contracts for up to 15,000 engine hours. The company also offers digital tools for predictive maintenance and real-time diagnostics.

Designed for a New Fleet Cycle

Many fleet owners are now replacing old trucks. Vehicles in mining and construction sectors often run for 8–10 years. As businesses modernize, they seek vehicles with better safety, lower operating costs, and cleaner emissions. BharatBenz addresses this shift with a forward-looking product lineup.

Conclusion

With the HX and TorqShift series, BharatBenz introduces trucks built for India’s next phase of growth. The company combines rugged engineering, smart transmission, and robust support. These trucks aim to set new benchmarks in the commercial vehicle market, serving both construction and mining demands with power and precision.
