The Volvo FM 400 is a versatile and feature-rich truck designed to handle a range of heavy-duty transportation needs. The Volvo FM 400 has its front profile divided into two parts &ndash; the front apron and the front bumper. While the upper half of the front profile is covered with a windscreen, the lower half of it has a wide-looking rectangular black grille with horizontal slats and the trademark slanted logo of the Volvo. Then comes the front bumper, which looks huge and gets partitioned air dams in trapezoidal forms. This bumper has vertically-laid trapezoidal headlamps. The lower part of the front bumper looks slim and has a blacked-out finish across the width of the bumper.

The upper half of the front profile of the Volvo FM 400 has a rectangular grille, while the front bumper has trapezoidal and partitioned air dams with vertically-aligned headlamps. 

The Volvo FM 400 has a busy-looking cabin, which has a unique driver-centric design with a host of switches and controls facing the driver. A four-spoke steering wheel and a comprehensive instrument console make up for a combined driver&rsquo;s cockpit. The curved centre console, facing towards the driver, accommodates an empty squared storage space, a panel of switches for AC and vertical AC vents. The co-driver side of the dashboard has the other half of the centre console facing towards it, which comes integrated with cup holders, storage spaces and AC vents.

The curved and bulky layout for the centre console of the Volvo FM 400's dashboard consists of various switches for a host of controls and a few storage spaces. 

The Volvo FM 400 has a decently long list of equipment, which comprises dual airbags, ABS, manual air conditioning, tilt and telescopic adjustable power steering. The empty storage space in the curved centre console has the provision of accommodating the music system in it.

The Volvo FM 400 is one of the few full-size trucks in the heavy-duty commercial trucks, which comes with dual airbags and ABS as standard.
