• Engine and Performance

  The Eicher Pro 6048 is powered by one of the biggest diesel engines in the entire lineup of Eicher Motors – a 7.7-liter VEDX8 six-cylinder diesel engine. Paired to a 9-speed manual gearbox, this engine produces a maximum power output of 260 PS, while the torque output produced is a staggering 1000 Nm. The engine comes equipped with a 430mm diameter clutch and SCR technology.

  Sharing the latest design language with the other light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty offerings from Eicher’s lineup, the Eicher Pro 6048 looks commanding and bulky, justifying its heavy-duty appeal. The truck gets a huge windscreen at the front, and between the front windscreen and front grille, the Pro 6048 gets a huge and widespread blacked-out wing-shaped black garnish. The trapezoidal grille and headlamps are positioned on the huge front bumper, with the former getting a segmented design. The headlamps here are placed on the corners of the front bumper and come integrated with turn indicators on their outer edges. There is a provision for small and rounded fog lamps just below the headlamps.

  Summary

  The large black garnish in the middle of the front profile and the huge bumper having grille and headlamps make the Eicher Pro 6048 look butch and large.

• Interior

  The Eicher Pro 6048 has a wide cabin which has a bluish theme carried all over, with touches of grey around the centre console giving the cabin a nice contrast. The driver’s cockpit and the centre console are integrated as a single curved unit, which makes access to all the controls much easier. The simple-looking instrument console has a very informative LCD screen for driver information and is flanked by vertical AC vents on either side. The part of the centre console facing the driver comes integrated with vacant spaces, cup holders, an audio system and switches for AC.

  The Eicher Pro 6048 features an all-blue cabin layout with a contrast grey finish around the centre console.

• Features

  While there are not many features in the Eicher Pro 6048, apart from tilt and telescopic adjustable power steering, manual AC and 1-DIN audio system, the Pro 6048 gets several cup holders on the dashboard and beside the driver’s seat.
