Tata Motors, a trusted name in Tata commercial vehicles, has rolled out its latest innovation – the Tata LPT 812. This new model is India’s first 4-tyre truck that can carry an impressive 5-tonne payload. Launched on September 3, 2025, the truck has been designed to deliver the strength of big and heavy vehicle while keeping the agility and efficiency of a small one. It’s a smart solution for business that need to move more goods within cities and across shorter roads.

What Makes the Tata LPT 812 Special?

High Payload with Efficient Design

Despite being a 4-tyre truck, it can handle a 5-tonne load. That means owners get the power of a 6-tyre truck but with lower maintenance costs and easier handling.

Comfort and Climate Control

For the first time in this category, Tata has added factory-fitted air conditioning. Drivers will have a more comfortable experience, especially during long hours on the road.

Engine and Performance

This truck is powered by strong 4SPCR diesel engine that produces 125 hp and 360 Nm torque. Paired with a 5 Speed gearbox and booster assisted clutch which makes driving smoother and less tiring.

Safety and Ride Quality

Safety has been given priority with full S Cam air brakes, a sturdy suspension system, tilt and telescopic steering and heavy duty tyres that keep the truck steady and reliable in different conditions.

Versatile Load Bodies

The LPT 812 is designed to adapt. Businesses can select load body options like courier services, fresh produce, market supplies and more.

After-Sales Assurance

Buyers also get peace of mind with a 3-year/300,000 km warranty, Tata’s Sampoorna Seva 2.0 support program, and access to Fleet Edge digital tools for tracking and efficiency, with over 3200 service points nationwide.

A Word from Tata Motors

Rajesh Kaul the Vice President and Business Head of trucks at Tata Motors, shared: “The launch of the Tata LPT 812 sets a new benchmark in customer profitability. This truck meets growing demand for trucks that offer more payload capacity with excellent fuel efficiency, reliability and uptime.”

Final Thoughts

Tata LPT 812 is more than a truck, it’s a practical and profitable partner for businesses. Its unique combination of strength, comfort and cost effectiveness, it stands out as a game changer in the Tata commercial vehicle lineup. For transporters looking for a reliable and modern solution, the Tata launch LPT 812 is a truck worth considering.
