Tata Motors, India’s biggest commercial vehicle maker, has launched air-conditioned cabins across its full truck range. This upgrade spans SFC, LPT, Ultra, Signa, and Prima models. For the first time, cowls also get AC systems. These cabins come factory-fitted, ensuring better comfort and faster delivery.
This launch reflects Tata Motors’ push to improve driver working conditions. It also shows the company’s intent to enhance fleet efficiency. Mr. Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Business Head – Trucks at Tata Motors, said,
“The introduction of air-conditioned cabins and cowls marks a significant step towards building a comfortable working environment for drivers, enabling higher productivity. In addition to complying with the regulatory requirements, we have leveraged this opportunity to deliver long-term value with a host of enhancements. These upgrades, shaped by extensive customer feedback, and backed by smart engineering, are designed to minimise impact on total cost of ownership, ensuring greater profitability for fleet owners.”
The new AC system works in two modes — Eco and Heavy. Eco mode saves energy. Heavy mode cools faster. Both modes suit different climates and usages. The system keeps drivers alert and rested.
