India's electric three-wheeler market had its best sales ever in July 2025. The segment had 69,144 units, which is a 9% increase from 63,675 units in July 2024. The electric 3W industry keeps growing at a fast rate with this. Mahindra, Bajaj, and TVS all had their best monthly sales so far this month, which helped the month go well.
In July, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 9,767 electric three-wheelers, which was the most the company has ever sold in a month. In July of last year, the brand sold 6,978 units. That's a 40% rise from last year. Mahindra's share of the market also expanded, from 11% to 14%.
There are a lot of models available from the brand. Some of these are the Treo, Treo Yaari, Treo Zor, Treo Plus, Zor Grand, e-Alfa Plus, and e-Alfa Cargo. Every model meets a particular demand. Comfort is the main focus of passenger models. Space and durability are important in cargo versions. This variety helped Mahindra stay ahead of the game. It also explains why a lot of people choose Mahindra electric commercial vehicles for both work and personal purposes.
In July, Bajaj Auto sold 7,625 electric three-wheelers. Last July, it sold 3,696 units. That's a 106% rise, which is more than double. Bajaj's share of the market has risen from 6% to almost 11%.
Strong items were behind this increase. The RE E-Tec 9.0 and Maxima XL Cargo E-Tec 12.0, which are part of Bajaj's GoGo brand, have a long range and are very safe. Some models may travel as far as 248 kilometers on a single charge. Business owners that need to run all day care about that. These qualities, along with Bajaj's reputation for quality, make the Bajaj electric vehicles stand out.
TVS Motor Company, which is newer, had its best month of sales in July, when it sold 2,209 electric three-wheelers. It only joined the group in 2024. But in July 2025, it was the fourth best-selling brand, beating out hundreds of others.
The TVS King EV Max is the main model in the line. It is mostly about getting people from one place to another. TVS electric vehicles are starting to create a strong basis, especially in cities, thanks to consistent growth and positive ratings.
The electric 3W sector sold 430,845 units between January and July 2025. That makes up 62% of all sales for the year 2024, which were 691,302 units. In the first seven months of 2024, 377,640 units were sold. So far, sales in 2025 are 14% higher.
In FY2025, the business sold 699,073 e-3Ws, which is close to 7 lakh. Mahindra was in the lead with 69,588 units (15% share). Bajaj came next with 50,779 units, which is 7.3% of the total. In July, the old record of 66,014 units from May was broken. If things keep going the way they are, a new yearly record is likely.
The electric 3Ws market is now growing steadily and strongly. The new high in July shows how strong demand has risen.
Mahindra 3-wheelers are reliable and come in a number of styles and sizes, giving purchasers a lot of options. This provides Mahindra a strong position in the market for electric commercial vehicles.
Bajaj 3wheelers compete by being innovative and having a long range. Their performance in July shows that purchasers trust the Bajaj electric vehicles, especially for traveling to work every day.
TVS three-wheelers, especially the King EV Max, are becoming more and more popular. TVS electric cars are starting to win over both new-age operators and fleet customers because they get decent gas mileage, are small, and are well made.
The July milestone is a big change for the electric 3-wheeler market. The top three OEMs currently account for about 88% of sales, therefore the market is trending toward organized, brand-led growth.
Mahindra's wide choice of products, Bajaj's rapid growth, and TVS's speedy expansion all illustrate that customers today want more than simply a good price. They want performance, reliability, and good after-sales service.
India's electric mobility journey used to be driven by subsidies and awareness, but now it's driven by product value and market confidence. And electric three-wheelers have taken a brave lead in this change.
