Piaggio Ape E City Detailed Overview
There are two battery options available in the Piaggio Ape E City – 7.5 kWh fixed and 4.5 kWh swappable. While the 7.5 kWh battery delivers 110 km of range, the 4.5 kWh battery claims 68 km of range. However, both versions of the Piaggio Ape E City have the same 5.44 kW electric motor, which churns out 29 Nm of torque and a top speed of 45 kmph.
The Piaggio Ape E City is being offered in two different battery options – a 7.5 kWh fixed battery with a 110 km claimed range and a 4.5 kWh swappable battery with a 68 km claimed range.
The Piaggio Ape E City shares its suspension combination of a hydraulic telescopic shock absorber with a helical compression spring with a dampener at the front and a hydraulic telescopic shock absorber with a rubber compression spring with a dampener at the rear with its IC engine version. Even the hydraulically-actuated drum brakes at both front and rear from the IC engine version have been retained in the Piaggio Ape E City.

The Piaggio Ape E City shares its overall design with its IC engine version, and that too in an exclusive shade of blue. The overall design of the Piaggio Ape E City looks functional to the eyes with a huge windscreen within the upper housing with curved edges and sides. On the other hand, the Piaggio Ape E City has a decent-looking lower half for the front profile. Here, the e-rickshaw gets a dumbbell-inspired panel in its upper part, which has rounded headlamps and turn indicators integrated into their bulging sides. This element also has a Piaggio logo sitting within a small trapezoidal housing in the middle. Available with a removable soft top and body-coloured hinged side doors, the flat perch at the back of the Piaggio Ape E City can seat three.
The three-seater cabin of the Piaggio Ape E City is covered by a removable soft top, with the rickshaw getting halogen headlamps in scooped housings.
The Piaggio Ape E City shares its equipment list with its IC engine version, including a handlebar, scooped housings for the halogen headlamps and a black garnish panel running across the width of the front profile.
While the Piaggio Ape E City gets rounded headlamps with dumbbell-inspired garnish, it also has a flat bench for three people and hinged doors on the sides.
