The Tata Signa 5530.S comes powered by a Cummins ISBe 6.7L BS6 engine which has the capacity to churn out 224kW of maximum power at 2300 r/min and 1100Nm of peak torque at around 1100-1700 r/min. The engine comes mated to a Tata G1150 8F +1C + 1R Manual Synchromesh gearbox.

Meanwhile, the Ashok Leyland 5525 AN comes powered by an H-series BSVI with an i-Gen6 technology engine which has the capacity to churn out 184kW (250 HP) of max power at 2400 rpm and 900Nm of peak torque at around 1200-1900rpm. Its engine comes linked to a 9-speed synchromesh gearbox.

The Tata Signa 5530.S comes with a ladder-type, heavy-duty frame sized 285 x 65 x 7. It has a gross combination weight of 55,000Kg and gets 295/90R20 section radial tube tyres to take on different applications like Cement, LPG/Chemical Tankers, Coal, Marble, Tiles and Stones among others. 

On the other hand, the Ashok Leyland 5525 AN comes with an HSS material-based heavy-duty chassis. Further, it too has a gross combination weight of 55,000 kg. The vehicle rolls with overall dimensions rated 6900mm in length, 2570mm in width and 3247mm in height. Furthermore, it gets 295/90R20 - 16 PR section tyres to take on multiple applications like Market load, Bulker, steel and cement.

  1. Brakes and Suspension: 

In terms of braking systems, the Signa 5530.S comes equipped with heavy-duty air brakes while the Leyland 5525 AN gets full air dual line brakes with ABS, Engine brake and auto exhaust brake.  

As for suspension duty on the Signa 5530.S, it gets taken care of by bogie suspension with Parabolic leaf at the front end and Bell Crank Suspension at the rear. The Leyland 5525 AN on the other hand gets Parabolic springs at the front while the rear houses NRS suspension.
