Apollo Tyres has received a Gold Rating from EcoVadis, placing the company in the top 5% of companies worldwide for sustainability performance. This rating, announced on June 2, 2025, confirms Apollo’s 95th percentile score in FY2025, rising from 92nd percentile last year.

EcoVadis, a globally recognized sustainability evaluator, assesses companies across four key areas: environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Apollo Tyres earned an overall score of 76/100, sharply improving from 41 five years ago. In environmental performance, Apollo scored 85 points, reflecting its work in clean manufacturing and carbon reduction. In labour and human rights, the score rose from 70 to 80, highlighting stronger workplace inclusion and employee welfare. Ethics improved from 50 to 63, while sustainable procurement reached 71, pointing to better ethical sourcing.

Sunam Sarkar, President and Chief Business Officer, attributed the achievement to focused actions. He cited better environmental management, stronger ethics policies, and inclusive labour initiatives as key drivers. He noted the rating as a result of team-wide efforts to embed sustainability into operations.

EcoVadis uses a percentile-based rating system. Companies in the top 1% (99th percentile and above) earn Platinum. Those in the top 5% (95th and above) get Gold. Silver goes to the top 15%, and Bronze to the top 35%.

Apollo Tyres operates plants in India, Hungary, and the Netherlands. Its products reach over 100 countries, marketed through Apollo and Vredestein brands across branded and multi-product outlets. With this recognition, Apollo Tyres reaffirms its role in the green tyre industry, aligning its ESG goals with global best practices.
