In a significant moment for Indian marketing leadership on the global stage, Shubhranshu Singh, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, has been appointed as an inaugural member of the Board of Directors of the Effie LIONS Foundation, a newly formed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in New York State.

The Effie LIONS Foundation, born out of the 2025 acquisition of Effie Worldwide by Informa plc (the parent company of Cannes Lions), aims to educate and empower the next generation of marketers, with a strong focus on inclusivity and underrepresented communities.

His appointment not only cements his growing global influence but also represents India and South Asia on a platform shaping the future of global marketing effectiveness. As part of the board, he will help define, fund, and scale programs that identify and nurture diverse marketing talent across the world.

Representing India on the World Stage

Shubhranshu Singh will serve on two board committees and attend two annual board meetings: one during the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity each June and another in New York or London every January. With a regional focus on India and South Asia, his perspective will be crucial in tailoring initiatives that support emerging talent from the subcontinent. As a voting member of the board, he will also be responsible for ensuring the foundation’s long-term vision and financial integrity.

A Legacy in Global Marketing

Shubhranshu Singh’s appointment follows years of deep involvement in the Effie ecosystem. Reflecting on his journey, he shared on LinkedIn:

“I am grateful to have got the opportunity to be a part of the ongoing endeavour to define and benchmark marketing effectiveness in countries, regions and at a global level over the past half a decade.”

The Global Best of the Best Effie is the highest honor in marketing effectiveness, celebrating campaigns that combine creativity with measurable results. It is open only to Gold or Grand Effie winners from over 55 national programs across 130+ markets.

Shubhranshu Singh, along with winners and jury members, will attend a private celebratory event during Cannes Lions at Hotel Martinez on June 17.
