The design of the Force Shaktiman 400 is heavily derived from the very popular Force Traveller people mover, with the rear seats and cabin replaced by a large cargo loading bay. The front profile of the Force Shaktiman 400 has a tapered design for the bonnet, below which the 2.6-litre engine of the mini-truck sits. The tapered front bonnet ends up at a vertically-aligned front grille, which has two horizontal slats with the Force logo in the middle of them. The outer corners of this wide-looking front fascia have rounded headlamps with horizontal strips of turn indicators above them. The front bumper looks basic and simple with its all-black and no-frills design.

The Force Shaktiman 400 looks very basic and outdated from the inside. While the cabin of the Shaktiman 400, which is retained from that of the Force Traveller, looks frills-free and old-school, the cabin is ergonomically well-designed with all the controls in the right places. The layouts for the instrument console, centre console, AC vents and co-passenger side of the dashboard look clean and uncluttered with flat design for all of them.
